Christmas 2010

Christmas Eve

The yearly tradition of placing bows on the dogs.

My mom's tradition of Christmas Eve pajamas. She keeps us stocked!

Christmas Eve was so fun. Bob, Lauren and Drew spent the night. We spent the evening eating lobster and chicken and playing Ticket to Ride.

Christmas Day

Drew was into the gifts that he received. He got a play tool set and workbench. He had fun figuring out the tools and "organizing" his workbench.

Drew and his daddy opening a gift.

Drew and Buddy having a stare down.

Watching the Veggie Tales Christmas video he received for Christmas.

Christmas at the Hanson's

Before we left for Indonesia we went to Amarillo to spend time with the Hanson clan. It was so great to see everyone before we took off.

Showing off the presents they received!

David's Ordination

Just a few of David's youth kiddos.

David becoming ordained!

The elders prayed over us. After the elders prayed they called for whomever wanted to come pray over us.

David and Ronny.
David has worked for Ronny at the Highland youth group for the past few years.

Our sweet friends. So thankful for them!
After we visited at church, our awesome friends and family met us at Rudy's for a yummy lunch. We chose Rudy's due to the long tables. :) It was so fun getting to visit with everyone before we left to return to Fort Worth.

Before we left Waco we visited our home for the last time. It was a such great home! We are so thankful for the time that we had in Waco and for the friends that we made.

Moving Day

When I saw this moving van I scoffed. The thought of filling this van seemed crazy. Yet, we filled the van!

The boys working hard to fill the van.

Now all of our belongings are in my mother's garage. The guys worked hard and fit everything together like a puzzle. It was sad to leave Waco but we are looking ahead to a fun adventure.
Sincerely,
Ashley

In Waiting...

Welcome to our Blog! Thanks for checking in on us. We are eager to get going on our trip and know that great things lie ahead of us. Until then, however, we are excited to spend Christmas and New Years with our families before leaving. We ask that you be in prayer for us and all of the minor details that come with going on a trip. We leave on January 1st, so check back periodically for updates and news!

Blessings,
David & Ashley
